Calculate-Pump-Head-Required
This video demonstrates how to use Pipe Flow Expert to find the pump head required to move water at 200 US gpm between two tanks at different elevations.
The tanks are connected via a series of pipes that contain a number of fittings and bends. The pump has to overcome the pressure drops in the system due to friction as well as the difference in height between the tanks.

This video shows how to draw and solve a classic three reservoirs problem using Pipe Flow Expert, to find the flow that will occur, as pipes from two of the reservoirs join to a common point, before flowing into a third reservoir.
It demonstrates the easy modeling capabilities of the software and shows the system being designed, starting from a blank canvas. In just a few minutes the reservoirs and pipes within the system are drawn and then the system is solved.
