System Engineer (m/f)
Your tasks
- Administration and maintenance of infrastructure systems and business applications in data center
- Monitoring and correction of hardware and software defects
- Performance of regular backups and execution of recovery
- Provisioning of 2ND Level support and technical assistance
- Support and assistance for users’ daily automated processes and tasks in relation to all business applications and prescribed software
- Provision of assistance for remote offices, administration and maintenance of infrastructure systems in respective data center/computer room
- Assistance on ship building documentations, basic designs and implementation of applications
- Recognition and measurement in case of escalation and de-escalation of critical and urgent cases and follow-up of designated procedures
- Involvement in appointed and undertaking projects
- Provision of weekly/monthly status report on work progresses
Your profile
- Diploma or degree in computer science/information technology or 3 to 4 years work experience as system engineer or administrator
- Microsoft severs services deployment, administration, and troubleshooting , e.g. active directory multi sites setup, Microsoft exchange and all its components for enterprise type mail systems like outlook connections, exchange e-mail servers or other mail hosts
- Strong foundation and knowledge on provisioning, administration and management of disaster recovery solutions through replication, backups and virtualization, e.g. virtual servers preferably on VMware platform and related components like SAN/NAS/DAS and fiber switches
- Familiarity with change control practices, e.g. testing, backup and recovery, patch management, review boards and associated documentation
- Excellent engineering skills including the ability to troubleshoot design and fix enterprise wide systems
- Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a team and autonomous
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
- Excellent presentation skills with regard to technical information
